Sunday: Portobello Mushrooms with Rainbow Chard, homemade Hummus (this recipe calls for an entire head of garlic to be roasted first!)
Monday: Pasta with Peppers, Onions, and Mushrooms
Tuesday: Julia Child's Garlic Soup, from Mastering The Art of French Cooking, made with homemade chicken stock, Bread Machine Focaccia Bread
Wednesday: Golden Crusted Brussels Sprouts, Meatloaf Muffins, leftover Foccacia
Thursday: Leftover Garlic Soup, Peas
Friday: Homemade Pizza on Whole Wheat Crust
Saturday: Valentine's date at Amber Rose (Living Social deal of $20 for a $40 gift certificate and used Open Table to make a reservation)
Sunday: Eggs over Medium, Toast, Caramelized Onions
Weekly extra: Chicken Stock in the slow cooker , Candied Walnuts in the slow cooker(goes great in salads), Homemade Bread Machine Hot Dog Buns, Green Monsters for breakfast, Julia Child's Vinaigrette
Dorothy Lane trip: $61. I bought my weekly meat for the big salad with grilled chicken or beef I have for lunch every day, plus dried cranberries and specialty blue cheese dressing.
Also went to Kroger and spent $60. A little higher this week, but will hopefully even out next week.
